The speaker of the 63rd United Nations DPI/NGO Annual Conference from the International Health Awareness Network , Dr. Sorosh Roshan rings the Bell of World Love and Peace and makes the promise of peace and love: We wish peace and love for the human family all through the world.

Having travelled five continents and collected peace commitment from 152 presidents and world leaders, and after the 2000 Sydney Olympics, the bell of world love and peace again returns to Australia with "Cultural Goodwill Group for Love and Peace of the World " for the 63rd United Nations DPI/NGO Annual Conference in Melbourne. On August 29 the opening speaker of the 63rd Annual Conference, Michel Sidibe, the Republic of Sierra Leone ambassador to the UN, the president of the International Health Awareness Network , Dr. Sorosh Roshan, and other round-table speakers at this annual conference, a total of nine people ring the Bell of World Love and Peace together. The sound of the Bell , which combines the energy from five continents, now could be heard in Australia after almost 10 years. The Cultural Goodwill Group will hold a “2010 World Summit of Love and Peace for World Citizens “at 6:30PM at Crowne Plaza Melbourne on August 30th (Tuesday). At that time, the ancient, solemn, and peaceful bell ringing ceremony with pure and resonant sounds will evoke the deep aspiration for peace from everyone. We should make the promise of love and peace, and to carry out the concrete actions and power to change the destiny of the world together for ourselves, the world, and the future generations.

This year, global health is the on the main agenda for the 63rd United Nations DPI/NGO Annual Conference. Among the participating NGO is a Cultural Goodwill Group, which is comprised of Association of World Citizens (AWC), the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL), and Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy (TJM). In addition to participating in the annual conference, the group also brings with it culture exchange of Qigong and martial arts, the profound bell-ringing ceremony of the Bell of World Love and Peace, and the "2010 World Summit of Love and Peace for World Citizens." Through diverse venues of exchange such as bell ringing, conference, and cultural sharing, the group seeks to unite the commitment for love and peace from people, to maximize each of our personal influences, and to collectively change the fate of the world.

In recent years, in addition to global financial crisis which shakes the global economy, there have been many natural and man-made disasters around the world. The lives of tens of thousands have been lost. Many major issues emerged among nations, the panic from people actually affected the earth. For example, 17 million people suffered from the large flood in Pakistan in July. Life threatening crisis hangs over the earth in the 21st century, which is both alarming and saddening. Therefore, one of the topics in this conference is " How Can NGOs Help to Reduce the Impact of Global Financial Crisis to the Advancement of Global Health and the Achievement of MDGs ". With regard to that, the leader of Cultural Goodwill Group, Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze reveals, in the World Love and Peace Bell ringing ceremony, that:" The movement of the earth is full of power. Thus a superior man should make himself strong and untiring. The roaring of tens of thousands of thunder shakes off the filth between heaven and earth. All living creatures should follow the rule of nature. The 2010 NGO conference opens the way to the consensus of global health. The first step is to respect human rights. Safeguarding the earth is the way to sustainable development. May God bless us all." Several United Nations officials, United Nations ambassador, human rights organizations and other important people deeply agree with Dr. Hong's concept and come to ring the Bell of World Love and Peace on August 29 with sincere prayer. The Bell is rung for three times because it is for their country, for all mankind, and the United Nations. The sound resonates in Melbourne , Australia . The sound is peaceful and beautiful and makes everyone deeply moved.

Ringing the bell is, since ancient time, a ceremony in which people fill their hearts with sincerity, show their respect for heaven and earth, and pray to God to bless the world. The Bell of World Love and Peace is engraved with the names of bell ringers. Each name and each commitment to the practice of love and peace exerted crucial influence at critical moment to the destiny of the world. For examples, Wade, the President of Senegal, facilitated the peace agreement signed between Chad and Sudan to avoid international conflicts; Menezes, the President of Sao Tome and Principe, pardoned the military involved in a coup in order to achieve national peace and stability; President of the Dominican Republic, Fernandez used his wisdom to work out the negotiations among Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela to resolve a crisis of war, which was on the brink of break out. A possible war in Latin America was avoided and the destiny of the world was changed.

Last year, in the 62nd United Nations DPI/NGO Annual Conference, the Honorary Vice President and member of Advisor Board of AWC, President of the Federation of World Peace and Love, and Zhang-men-ren of Tai Ji Men, Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze published an essay "The wisdom of balance between development and peace- - launch the world without nuclear weapons". It directly point out that the solution to human problems is human's minds:" Where is the good thought and true peace? It is at the origin of our mind. At the critical moment, people should do the right thing. Change their thoughts! One good though can change the magnetic field and thus change the world. It is necessary and immediate for global solidarity." Changing the heart becomes the crucial force that can affect the world. However, the transition of global climate has caused global catastrophes. The competition for resources, the conflicts of interests among nations, and the differences in beliefs have all resulted in continuous confrontations. Regional tension escalated, war and chaos seemed imminent. The world seemed to be in constant chaos and instability. This is not only a challenge to world leaders but also a demonstration of the importance, urgency, and the necessity for a global solidarity.

"The Bell of World Love and Peace" is rung again in Australia . The clear sound of peace reached far and wide on this land. The good hearts are heard and would lead to solidarity and cooperation. The sound of the Bell carries with it endless energy, and will transcends borders, language and cultural barriers to touch everyone's heart. At the 9th international Conference of Chief Justices of the World and at the 5th Global Symposium: Awakening Planetary Consciousness, the representative from the Dutch NGO organization, Mrs. Edmee Zoie Schepens said: This is a very solemn ringing ceremony. I feel the energy is conveyed through the sound of the Bell . That is a kind of energy beyond the center of the universe. I know you hold the ritual to purify the hearts and to maintain the positive energy.

At the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, the former New South Wales Governor his majesty Samuel struck the “ Bell of World Love and Peace” at Sydney Opera House, and said to all Australian “My expectation about peace is really simple. We must make our commitment toward the future of peace, understanding, and harmony. Of course it's easy to simply talk about the topics of peace, what's difficult is how people are going to put it into actions. People at Tai Ji Men truly understand; because they understand that to know is to act. Otherwise, no matter how noble the words are, they are not convincing. If we long for peace, we must realize our ideal for peace. If we long for a harmonious world, we must learn how to co-exist peacefully.” At the 63rd United Nations DPI/NGO Annual Conference in 2010, the Sierra Leone Ambassador to the UN also made his wish, while he struck the Bell , “ A wish for racial harmony and religious tolerance throughout this world of globalization and interconnectivity .” Dr. Sorosh Roshan, President of the International Health Awareness Network and speaker at the 63rd United Nations DPI/NGO Annual Conference, struck the bell and made his wish “We wish peace and love for the human family all through the world.”

The topic of the 63 rd annual meeting is “ Advance Global Health: Achieve the MDGs “ The definition of health is not only the health of body, mind, and soul, but also the health of a country's system. Human rights are God-given rights. A president, a civilian, even a beggar has the same human rights. When a country violates human rights, every world citizen should speak up.

One of the meeting agendas is “How Can NGOs Help to Reduce the Impact of Global Financial Crisis to the Advancement of Global Health and the Achievement of MDGs.” Countries in the world cannot escape from the effect of economic storm. Tax revenue has become important political topic for countries. Tax revenue is the source of income for government spending.

Taxation should be reasonable, fair, equitable and legitimate. The fair and equality of tax system will determine the rise and fall of the government. Throughout history, there have been many movements for human rights that were related to taxation. In recent years, judicial and tax reform movements in many countries is the development process toward balanced rights between the government and the people. In addition, it provides an indication to the maturity and health of the society. The Cultural Goodwill Group brought with them several pieces of paintings that remind people not to overlook the constant theorem from ancient times "Those who submit to people will prosper, those who resist to people shall perish."

The world citizens should pay attention to the destiny of the world together. In addition to the "2010 World Summit of Love and Peace for World Citizens" on August 31, there are three daily seminars on "Human Rights for World Citizens" from August 30 to September 2, in which cases of human rights violation will be discussed. One of the cases concerns the Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy, which was founded by Dr. Hong Tao-Tze in 1966. For 40 years, Tai Ji Men's objective is to carry forward the essence of the culture of qigong and martial arts and improve the physical, mental, and spiritual health of all people of the world, and to impart the wisdom of yin and yang philosophy, to educate people's heart, to do good deeds to learn virtues, and to advise people to be good, to promote love and peace and world harmony. Tai Ji Men is a non-profit cultural organization. However, it is being hurt by state violence. Right now, there are many voices from world citizens of the world calling the government to follow the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights for World Citizens and to care deeply about these cases of violation by state violence.

In addition, the "2010 World Summit on Human Rights for World Citizens" was held in April this year. There is a parallel activity " WSHR Column for Safeguarding the Earth” This activity has received great responses from 196 countries around the world. Right now it is going to campus in Melbourne and has received great responses. There will be cultural exchange and "WSHR Column for Safeguarding the Earth” at Kaplan Business School at 10:30 am on September 2. From 12AM to 2 PM, September 2, the Cultural Goodwill Group will hold culture exchanges, human rights education and the “WSHR Column for Safeguarding Earth” activity at University of Melbourne .
