2019 FIRMA Global Peace Award

Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, President of the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL), fourth from left, is presented with the 2019 FIRMA Global Peace Award for promoting world peace through a variety of means, such as holding interfaith dialogues, conducting cultural exchanges, hosting World Leader Summits of Love and Peace, and establishing the International Day of Conscience. The award ceremony was held during the 2019 Turin International Book Fair on May 13, 2019, in Turin, Italy.

2016/05/30

During the 66^th UN DPI/NGO Conference, Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze was invited to deliver a speech at a United Nations forum titled “Vision for a Universal Education Protocol” on May 30, 2016. Bircan Ünver, the moderator of the forum and Founding President of The Light Millennium, presented the “World Citizens Award for Cultural Peace Education” to Dr. Hong in recognition of his contributions to promoting universal love, a culture of peace, and education for global citizenship.

2005/06/15

On June 15, 2005, Dr. Hong met with Pope Benedict XVI and shared the message: “No love, no peace. Peace needs love, and love needs to be balanced.”

2000/08

In August 2000, Dr. Hong attended the 53rd Annual UN DPI/NGO Conference and met with UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan to exchange viewpoints on love and peace.
