Dear Mrs. Bharti Gandhi; Conference Chair, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon; teachers and students of CMS; distinguished guests; ladies and gentlemen,
Good day!
First of all, I would like to express our sincere admiration to Dr. Jagdish Gandhi for his lifelong dedication to education, India, and the world. This year, in the 25th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World, we are delighted to see that Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdonhas continued Dr. Jagdish Gandhi’s great educational vision, displaying the vitality of the new generation and striving to provide an education that embodies conscience, love, and a global perspective. We are gathered here today on this serendipitous occasion, hoping to work together to create a harmonious world filled with love and peace, where the people of India and the rest of the world can live in security and happiness.
In recent years, we have witnessed the dark forces that are destroying our planet - whether through natural disasters such as fire, droughts, heavy rains, floods, hurricanes, viruses, and earthquakes, or through the greed and hatred in human hearts that have led to one brutal war after another. These forces are rapidly expanding and interlinking, leading to a catastrophic global crisis. Behind the numbers of lives lost to these disasters and conflicts are countless broken families, along with lingering repercussions and potential threats.
The increased speed and scale of the world’s collapse serve as a stark reminder that we must accelerate the development and promotion of positive, benevolent actions and energies - our shared responsibility. Since 2014, the Federation of World Peace and Love has been promoting the movement of "An Era of Conscience." In 2018, we began working with many countries to promote the "International Day of Conscience," which further led to the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption of the resolution titled "Promoting the Culture of Peace with Love and Conscience" during its 73rd session on July 25, 2019. The UNGA declared April 5 as the “International Day of Conscience,” encouraging countries and civil society organizations - regardless of race, gender, language, or religious beliefs - to jointly promote the value of human conscience and foster global unity to achieve the vision of peace. This initiative has gained widespread recognition and strong support worldwide. Conscience activates the power of hope, inspiring acts of kindness, which will guide people to stay away from suffering and disaster, and return to a world of happiness and goodness.
With the visionary goal, we need the bridge of "action" to reach it! The Federation of World Peace and Love will continue moving forward hand in hand with friends from all sectors, encouraging people to act with conscience and the power of hope for the safety and sustainable development of themselves, others, and the world. Let us unite our strength to make the dream of peace a reality. I sincerely invite everyone here to join this cause, upholding "love and conscience" as the guiding principles in our lives and in all we do. With a reverent heart, let’s pray and self-reflect sincerely every day. We will then be able to generate positive energy through our actions. Together, we can steer the world away from disasters and conflicts, moving toward a peaceful and sustainable future!
My best wishes to Mrs. BhartiGandhi, Prof. Geeta GandhiKingdon, and all the dedicated teachers who have devoted themselves to the school. May all our friends be blessed with peace and joy. May positive bonds be forged far and wide, and may everyone follow their conscience and do good deeds to bring blessings to future generations.
Thank you all!
