Distinguished Guests, Dear Friends, Ladies and Gentlemen,

Good day!

Today is International Women’s Day.  The theme for 2025 is “For all Women and Girls:  Right, Equality, Empowerment.” Based upon the United Nations’ action and vision to promote women’s rights and equality since 1977, this is to celebrate the achievements of women worldwide in various fields and to further advance gender equality and women's rights.

Despite the significant progress made in gender equality, today the challenges facing the world remain severe. In just the past year alone, 612 million women and girls have lived under the harsh condition of armed conflict—an increase of 50% within a decade.  Additionally, since 2020, 75 million people have fallen into extreme poverty.  Without proactive action, it is estimated that 342 million women and girls will be living in poverty by 2030.

At this critical moment, how can we bring lasting peace and security to the world? The answer has long been rooted in our hearts— conscience and the power of hope and the will to act. When humanity follows the guidance of conscience, we can exercise wisdom and collaboration to resolve conflicts and promote global peace and security.

Conscience is the driving power in building peace. We call on the world to follow the guidance of conscience, unite our collective will, and take action to fulfil the core value of International Women’s Day. We sincerely encourage all nations to adopt proactive strategies, including:

- Promote conscience education: to help individuals understand the importance of gender equality at a fundamental level, inspiring kindness in every heart and leading society toward respect, inclusion, and harmony.

- Allocate resources to key initiative focused on ‘violence prevention’ and ‘supporting gender equality.’

- Establish a transparent and effective resource distribution system:  to ensure that aid reaches the women and girls who need it most.

- Strengthen legal protections by implementing policies that uphold gender justice.

- Foster a culture of respect and inclusion:  to create a more equitable society.

FOWPAL would like to invite you to embrace the core value of the Declaration of World Day of the Power of Hope.  May our conscience be awakened by the power of hope and the will to act. From families to society, from education to the economy, let love create a world of equality, peace, and hope. By engaging in daily reflection and sincere prayers, let us practice respect and inclusivity in our actions, working together to empower women worldwide to achieve holistic development in safety and dignity.

Let us unite and work together to forge a better future for sustainable survival. Only by collectively embracing our mission and fulfilling our commitment to conscience and peace through action, can we build a society filled with love and achieve a world of lasting peace.

Wish every female in the world have a happy International Women’s Day!

May conscience lead the way, guided by the power of love, peace, and action.

May gender equality and women’s empowerment unite our strength.

May harmony prevail, bringing sustainable development and lasting peace to the world.
