The 28th Eurasian Economic Summit, organized by the Marmara Group Foundation, is taking place with grandeur at the WOW Hotel in Istanbul, Türkiye, from May 7 to 8, 2025. At the opening gala dinner on May 6, the Foundation specially presented the Jak Kamhi Award of Love and Peace to Dr. Hong Tao-Tze, President of the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL), in recognition of his outstanding contributions and achievements in promoting world peace.

To mark the 40th anniversary of the Marmara Group Foundation, awards were presented in 16 categories. At the opening gala dinner, several prestigious honors were awarded, including the Zhelyu Zhelev Award of Philosophy, the Mgr. George Marovitch Award of Intercultural Dialogue, the Jak Kamhi Award of Love and Peace, and the Ahmet Samsunlu Award of Green World. Among them, Dr. Hong Tao-Tze was honored with the Jak Kamhi Award of Love and Peace, honorary chair Jak Kamhi, in memory of his remarkable contributions.

Upon receiving this prestigious award, Dr. Hong expressed his gratitude, emphasizing that it is love and peace that bring everyone together to accomplish meaningful endeavors. He stated that he was honored to receive the award and highlighted the importance of love and peace in today's world, calling on everyone to join hands in creating a better future for humanity.

This year’s summit gathered approximately 650 participants from 44 countries, including political, diplomatic, economic, educational, and cultural leaders, as well as religious figures and representatives from the business and academic communities. During the event, FOWPAL held a special Bell of World Peace and Love ringing ceremony. On May 6, selected distinguished guests rang the Bell and made wishes for peace, including Mohamed El Orabi, former Foreign Minister of Egypt; Monsignor Yusuf Sağ, Syriac Catholic Chorbishop of Türkiye; and Monsignor Orhan Çanlı, General Vicar of the Syriac Catholic Patriarchate in Türkiye.

Ambassador Mohamed El Orabi, former Foreign Minister of Egypt, rang the Bell and prayed for peace for Gaza.

Monsignor Yusuf Sağ, Syriac Catholic Chorbishop of Türkiye, shared a profound reflection that everyone has a bell of peace inside, and one should listen to this bell every day and look at humanity accordingly.

Monsignor Orhan Çanlı, General Vicar of the Syriac Catholic Patriarchate in Türkiye, offered prayers for peace, justice, and tranquility for all humanity. He sincerely congratulated those who work for world peace and expressed his hope that the Lord God would grant them success in their efforts. He emphasized that the only thing that will save the world is love.

On the same day, Dr. Hong presented his cherished paintings to several distinguished guests, including former Presidents of Croatia Ivo Josipović and Stjepan Mesić, former President of Moldova Petru Lucinschi, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov. Attendees also endorsed the Declaration of Transparency and Integrity.

In an interview, former President of Moldova, Petru Lucinschi, emphasized the importance of preserving messages deeply rooted in centuries of human civilization—messages that have consistently promoted peace. He praised FOWPAL’s efforts, particularly its initiative to invite key figures to share such messages.

Former President of Croatia, Ivo Josipović, remarked that the world is undergoing profound changes, where discussions about war far exceed those about peace. He expressed great gratitude for FOWPAL’s dedicated focus on peace and its efforts to spread messages centered on peace.

In response to global instability—marked by pandemics, wars, natural disasters, and most recently, a devastating earthquake in Türkiye—the FOWPAL delegation brought a special performance to deliver blessings and well wishes to Türkiye and the world. The performance featured vivid representations of the dragon and phoenixes, traditional Eastern symbols of good fortune. The golden dragon and purple phoenixes appeared to soar across the sky, radiating light and spreading harmony and blessings wherever they went.

Accompanied by sacred chants imbued with righteousness, harmony, and conscience, the volunteers embodied compassionate arhats, spreading positive energy and purifying the hearts and minds. A group of young volunteers performed “The Power of Peace and Love” with song and dance, encouraging people worldwide to discover the love within and continue the legacy of conscience and hope.

For decades, Dr. Hong has led the FOWPAL delegation across five continents, visiting 114 countries. These global efforts include Bell Ringing Ceremonies, World Leaders Summits on Love and Peace, and cultural performances, all aimed at promoting the values of conscience, love, and peace.

Over the years, 13 significant declarations have been introduced, alongside global petition drives. On this occasion, Dr. Hong shared three pivotal declarations: the Declaration of the World Day of the Power of Hope, the Declaration of International Conscience Day, and the Declaration of Transparency and Integrity. He invited distinguished guests and local citizens to support these initiatives, creating a ripple effect of goodness.

Dr. Hong continues to fulfill his conscience-driven mission:

“May my heartfelt wishes inspire collective will, enveloping the world in boundless compassion,” He remains committed to building a peaceful world rooted in love and conscience. His influence spans across Qigong and martial arts culture, religion, education, and economics. He actively advocates for fairness, justice, and human rights, encouraging people everywhere to awaken their conscience and unite their efforts to form a global circle of positive energy.
