Bell of World Peace and Love Rings in Saint Lucia
as Governor-General Offers a Blessing for the World
As part of its ongoing global initiative to promote love and peace, the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL) visited the picturesque Caribbean island nation of Saint Lucia on July 17 and 18, 2025, marking its 117th stop worldwide. A highlight of the visit was when His Excellency Cyril Errol Melchiades Charles, Governor-General of Saint Lucia, ceremoniously rang the Bell of World Peace and Love and endorsed the Declaration of Transparency and Integrity, expressing sincere wishes for peace and hope for the people of Saint Lucia and all humanity.
Saint Lucia, shaped like a small sweet potato, is renowned for its dazzling sunshine, pristine white beaches along its scenic coastline. On July 18, the FOWPAL delegation paid a special visit to the Government House, where they were warmly received by Governor-General Charles. During the visit, the Governor-General rang the Bell of World Peace and Love, solemnly expressing his wish for peace with the words: “Best wishes for peace of world.” He remarked, “It is indeed an honor and a privilege to be. Quite frankly, I did not expect all this. I feel indeed very proud that you've chosen to have me along with you on this long journey. Let me take this opportunity to wish you continue enjoy peace and love.” The Governor-General also endorsed the Declaration of Transparency and Integrity, demonstrating his commitment to contributing actively to world peace.
Dr. Hong Tao-Tze, President of the Federation of World Peace and Love, presented gifts as tokens of cultural exchange. Notably, one was a painting entitled The Soaring Bird and the Leaping Fish, symbolizing harmonious joy and hope: “The bird soars, the fish leaps—each in effortless harmony.” Governor-General Charles reciprocated with a custom-made pen featuring the beautiful design of the Government House, symbolizing his deep appreciation and recognition of the cultural exchange, leaving a cherished testament to the partnership. Dr. Hong also shared the delegation’s achievements in promoting conscience, love, and peace across more than 100 countries worldwide. The delegation performed The Power of Peace and Love, and the event concluded successfully in an atmosphere filled with love and harmony.
Saint Lucia is renowned for its magnificent natural scenery, expansive coastlines, and lush green mountains. The delegation visited Derek Walcott Square, engaging in heartfelt exchanges with local residents and tourists through songs and music. The melodies touched the hearts of listeners, with local interviewees expressing that these songs were deeply inspiring for peace and love, especially in a world filled with stress, anger, and violence—underscoring the need for more uplifting music. This positive message was warmly embraced by the community. Coinciding with the island’s vibrant carnival celebrations, members of the delegation also joined a carnival parade. Amid lively, rhythmic music, they danced alongside carnival performers adorned in colorful costumes. The vivid colors, joyful tunes, and laughter blended into a beautiful and memorable scene.
The local tour guides expressed their honor that the delegation chose Saint Lucia as one of their destinations. They conveyed their happiness and gratitude for being part of the visit and offered a blessing, wishing God’s protection for all. They also took the initiative to contact Choice TV, the fifth-largest television station in the country,for a special interview with the delegation’s volunteers, aiming to spread the message of love and peace throughout Saint Lucia.
During their stay, the delegation distributed “Conscience Keychains” symbolizing love and peace, while inviting tourists and residents to endorse the Declaration of World Day of the Power of Hope, and the Declaration of Transparency and Integrity. These initiatives call on people to value conscience, respect life, and cultivate hope, transparency, and integrity—working together to build a more harmonious world.
