FOWPAL Delegation Visits Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to Promote Love and Peace
From July 21 to 23, the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL) visited Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, fondly known as the “Jewels of the Caribbean,” marking the 119th country on its global peace journey. One of the most symbolic moments occurred when Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, President of FOWPAL, invited Deputy Prime Minister Montgomery Daniel to solemnly ring the Bell of World Peace and Love. Accompanied by a heartfelt wish for global harmony, the ceremony delivered a powerful message of love and peace that transcends borders.
The delegation’s first stop was Fort Charlotte, where a journey blending natural beauty and cultural exploration began. This historic fortress, perched atop a mountain, overlooks the capital city of Kingstown and the surrounding majestic seascape. At this symbolic site, the delegation presented a cultural performance that integrated Eastern martial arts with the auspicious mythical creature, the Purple Phoenix, creating a meaningful resonance between culture and nature at this historic landmark.
At Wallilabou Bay, the filming site of Pirates of the Caribbean, the delegation explored the region’s historical ties to its pirate legacy. The site reflects how this colorful past has been transformed into a compelling cultural and tourism asset.
Returning to Kingstown, the delegation immersed themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the local market, experiencing the lively daily rhythms of Vincentian life. They engaged warmly with residents, gaining insights into local culinary traditions and ways of living. Symbolic tokens of peace—such as “Keychains with the "Smile of Conscience” and “Flags of An Era of Conscience,”—were shared. Locals were also invited to endorse the Declaration of International Day of Conscience, the Declaration of World Day of the Power of Hope, and the Declaration of Transparency and Integrity, encouraging all to follow their conscience and contribute to positive social transformation.
On July 23, Dr. Hong led the delegation on a courtesy visit to the Office of the Governor-General, where they were received by Deputy Prime Minister the Hon. Montgomery Daniel. Dr. Hong shared the achievements of promoting love and peace across various countries over the years. Deputy Prime Minister Daniel expressed that Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is actively committed to the practice and promotion of world peace. He recalled that a few years ago, during efforts to address peace issues between Guyana and Venezuela, the Prime Minister played a pivotal role in facilitating the signing of an international agreement that enabled both countries to come to the negotiation table and regard each other as friends. He emphasized that, as a responsible government, they have consistently dedicated themselves to the advancement of global peace.
During this meaningful exchange, Dr. Hong invited Deputy Prime Minister Daniel to ring the Bell of World Peace and Love. The Deputy Prime Minister offered a heartfelt prayer:“Father and God, You are the Author of our peace. I pray for peace and understanding among all nations of the world. Let wisdom and understanding reign supreme through the many leaders of the world so that good and peace prevail. In Jesus’ name. AMEN.”
Dr. Hong also presented tokens of goodwill to the Governor-General’s office, including a painting titled Radiant Spring Garden. The artwork symbolizes peace and harmony through poetic imagery:
“Purple mists drift gently into the painting,
As murmuring waters echo in tranquil rhythm.
Shifting light and color awaken spring’s delight,
Where all things flourish and bloom in harmony.”
On behalf of the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Daniel presented Dr. Hong with a book personally authored by the Prime Minister, titled The Time of Respair, symbolizing their response to and support for FOWPAL’s advocacy of the Declaration of World Day of the Power of Hope. He also solemnly endorsed the Declaration of International Day of Conscience, the Declaration of World Day of the Power of Hope, and the Declaration of Transparency and Integrity, expressing strong recognition and support for the core values of conscience, hope, and integrity.
The visit to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines not only allowed the delegation members to witness the island’s pristine natural beauty and cultural diversity, but also deepened their understanding of the profound value of love and peace through heartfelt interactions with local residents. Delegation member Daniel remarked, “We have faced many challenges, but our resolve remains strong as we continue to advance the cause of love and peace. Every step we take leaves a mark, and this chapter of history will be remembered for a lifetime.”
